Danielle Nicholson
Career Coach for Anxious Girlies
I help you stop overthinking your career, take action, build confidence and self-trust in your abilities, and make real progress on your goals.
Does any of this sound like you?
You lie awake at 2am, mind racing and stressing about your career’s future.
You spend your commute wishing you could quit your job, but also feeling stuck.
You doomscroll university websites and fantasize about being a student again.
You brainstorm 20 career paths and feel like you can do anything and nothing.
You try to make a decision about your career, but constantly second-guess it.
You wonder — Am I in the wrong career? Do I need better boundaries?
Is this burnout? Is something wrong with me?
If you’re struggling with significant career anxiety and indecision, you need more than a new resume or mock interview. You need practical ways to manage the uncertainty, reduce the pressure on your next step, and move forward without having everything figured out.
I help anxious girlies (like myself) navigate career transitions with more clarity, self-trust, and action, so they can stop spinning their wheels and start making real progress.
Coaching Services
I help you notice the worries, fears, and anxieties that are impacting your career decisions.
We create a concrete strategy to regulate your nervous system and calm your body and brain, so you can make thoughtful, intentional decisions.
And then - the fun part - we design brief, actionable career experiments to help you take imperfect action and try new things! Then we reflect on how your experiment went, what you learned, and what you want to try next.
-
Each coaching session is 50 minutes and costs $150 USD.
All sessions are conducted via video call.
Sessions are purchased two at a time ($300 total), which is prepaid before our first full session. After those two sessions, we’ll check in together and decide whether continuing coaching feels helpful. If it does, you can simply purchase another two sessions. If not, that’s completely okay.
There are no discounts for buying more sessions upfront, and there’s no expectation that you commit to months of coaching before you know whether we’re a good fit. My goal is to create enough structure to support meaningful progress while giving you the flexibility to move at a pace that feels right for you.
-
As a general guide:
2 sessions is enough to start making progress on one focused career decision and create a clear action plan.
6 sessions can provide steady support during a larger career transition while helping you build confidence through career experiments.
12 or more sessions may be helpful if you’re navigating deeper patterns around work, burnout, identity, or long-term career change.
We’ll decide together what makes sense based on your goals.
-
No matter how long we work together, we’ll talk about the brain and body side of career anxiety, how that impacts your decisions, and what you can do that’s actually helpful in those moments when you feel yourself spinning out or shutting down.
Then we’ll work on taking the pressure off your next step and breaking your goals into small, bite-sized career experiments so you can build momentum and gather real-world data about what you actually want.
Nice to meet you! I’m Danielle :)
I know how impossible it can feel to make career decisions in today’s economy, when everything feels uncertain and overwhelming. But you don’t have to figure it all out at once!
I’m here to help you regulate the overwhelm, make intentional decisions through small career experiments, and navigate burnout along the way.
I have a master’s in clinical mental health counseling (but my services are not therapy!), and I’ve got several years of experience in instructional design, higher education, media, marketing, and more — so I talk about career strategy as someone who has actually developed a diverse portfolio career across multiple industries.
Together, we’ll create a career strategy that is customized to your specific goals and supports all areas of your life.
Client Testimonials
“Danielle provides personal, exceptional support in career building. I’ve been connected with Danielle for over five years, and I’ve always valued her attention to detail. She has a real gift for taking the key elements of a job description and helping you translate them into your own strengths—making it easy for an employer to see your potential.
When I wanted to apply for an on-campus job, I reached out to Danielle for help … I truly owe a lot to Danielle for landing that role.
More recently, when I was struggling to find the right job fit, Danielle was again there to support me. She helped me stay positive, reminded me of what I bring to the table, and gave me peace of mind that I was on the right track.
If you’re applying for a job you really desire … or just want support from someone who truly cares, I highly recommend working with Danielle.”

Workshop Testimonials
“Danielle offers advice in a non-performative way, centering one's career trajectory in terms of goals and wellbeing, and reminding us that work should not devour the rest of our lives and consume us. Her workshop was full of information, in-depth and very interesting, and I also really appreciated the companion workbook!”
